Happy Friday, Friends! So glad you stopped by the blog today.
At the end of each school year I want to shower my team with gifts of appreciation.
This year I created Inspirational Succulent Gifts. These easy-to-make, little gifts are the perfect, summer-y way to tell someone “thank you” or show someone you care.
I purchased small terracotta flower pots from Walmart and used my Duck Egg Annie Sloan chalk paint to paint each pot.
It was a beautiful day in May so I painted outside.
After each pot dried I used alphabet stamps to stamp an inspirational word on each flower pot that I thought described my teammate, or just an uplifting word that would be nice to see over their summer break.
Here is a picture of the pots before succulents:
The weekend before I was going to gift the flower pots I planted a small succulent in each one.
Here are some pictures of the finished “garden”:
Any flower could be planted in these cute, little pots, but I chose succulents because they are hardy plants, trendy and need little water. The perfect gift for a teacher in a busy classroom!
Want to enjoy succulents in your own home this summer? Plant succulents in a cute coffee cup or teacup and sit them in your windowsill. Fresh and fun!
Happy painting & planting!
