“What do I want to take home from my summer vacation? Time. The wonderful luxury of being at rest. The days when you shut down the mental machinery that keeps life on track and let life simply wander. The days when you stop planning, analyzing, thinking and just are. Summer is my period of grace.” -Ellen Goodman
This summer I jumped into the world of blogging and it has been such a great experience so far! I share with my readers in my ABOUT section that summer is a time of renewal and that “summer wife” has a little more time outside the elementary classroom to share my passion for home decor & DIY.
Recently though, I’ve had friends and followers ask if now that I’m headed back into the classroom if my blogging will continue. And the simple answer is, yes!
What I’ve learned through blogging this summer is that “summer” and being “the summer wife” is a mindset. A mindset I hope to carry throughout the entire school year. This blog, thesummerwife.com, has become a breath of fresh air; a place for me to share my joys & passions, a place for me to create and to connect with others.
“…cause a little bit of summer is what the whole year is all about.” -John Mayer
I hope this blog can bring a little summer sunshine into your life and your home all year long!
Thanks for continuing to visit – excited to share all things fall & football in the upcoming weeks and months!
Happy (almost) Fall, y’all!
