Happy November, friends!
The “summer wife” is back for a whole week. I am so thankful for my career and my students, but I am also thankful for this week off each year. What do I love most about Thanksgiving break? Time. Time to cook, sleep in, do laundry, catch up on errands, spend time with family & friends and blog.
So, with Thanksgiving around the corner, I thought I’d take a moment to show you how I took my October decor right into November. I try to keep my October decor very ‘fall’ish so that I can re-decorate for Thanksgiving easily.
I reused many pieces on my mantel and added a frame with ’26’ inside; the date of Thanksgiving this year. This also happens to be the hub’s favorite number… how fitting since he loves Turkey Day.

Here are a few more pictures of fall sprinkled around our house. The tree trunk stand was from a tree in my parent’s yard. I love having something so sweet and unique from my childhood yard in our home.
I also mixed some gourds and acorns in the china cabinet.
And of course, the outside needs to feel the fall love too!
I think we’re ready to celebrate! Now, only if the Texas weather would get a lil’ bit chilly…
Have a wonderful holiday week! What are you #thankful for this year?
