Easy Wall Decor

Hi sweet readers! It’s officially August. Can you believe it? Where did the summer go? We spent the first part of August in Big Bend National Park, TX. I’m so excited to share one of our favorite places with you soon, right here, on the blog.

imageToday, though, I wanted to share a simple way to add wall decor to any room. Silver platters. Since I saw this idea on Pinterest years ago, I was just waiting and waiting for the perfect place to play with my silver platters. Our dining room has a skinny wall and the plates fit perfectly in a vertical line. I love how the light reflects off of them. And love even more that each platter is a different shape and tells a different story.

A few of these platters belonged to my grandmas. One is a piece that came with a tea-set my Nana bought me when I was younger. And another is from Good Will! Yes, Good Will has awesome silver pieces for a great price if you’re willing to look (& check back often).

The following pictures highlight the display:

How did I hang these? Small 3M hooks work great! A few were light enough to just stick directly on the wall using the 3M sticky tabs, and a few others hang using 3M hooks and twist-ties on a small nail.
