Can you believe it’s already August? This summer has flown by, but it’s also been filled with some pretty great trips and some pretty great lazy days, so it makes these ‘good days coming to an end’ a little bit easier.
One of my favorite things to do is gift others. So today I’m sharing with you a simple gift idea for your teacher team, or the teacher in your life as we head B2S (back to school) in a few short weeks.
Over the holidays I received Chalkfulloflove‘s handlettering book, Handlettering 101. If you do not follow chalkfulloflove on Instagram, get your phone out and follow her right now. She has the cutest Instagram account and has turned her handlettering hobby into her own business. She is definitely a #girlboss. Her book can be purchased on Amazon and at craft stores. AND…she’s coming out with her second handlettering book soon.
Handlettering is so relaxing. It’s kind of like the coloring book trend, but with letters. But once you learn to letter, you have to have a reason to try it out, right?!
I purchased wooden hangers from Ikea and lettered RES on them for Roanoke Elementary School in gold and topped it off with a navy and white polkadot ribbon. I made one for each teacher on my 5th grade team. They can use these in their closet at school to hang their jackets in style…although, let’s be honest, they probably aren’t hanging any jackets up until at least November in Texas! #sohothere
I’ve used ikea hangers in a little bit of different way for baby gifts for friends that I’m excited to share with you later this week!
Have a great day! And thanks for stopping by the blog!
