This past week, a sweet co-worker (hi, Callie!), planned a staff outing at Board & Brush Colleyville before school started. And let me just say, it was SO.MUCH.FUN! Since I’m pretty crafty and already have one shiplap-like board in our house I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the experience from a craft-i-ness standpoint, but I was pleasantly surprised! And the company of teacher-friends made it that much better!

Board & Brush, which is a chain, (you can look for a location near you) is fool-proof, I promise! So if you’re super crafty, like me, or if you think I cannot decorate/paint to save my life, you will have fun! Not only do you choose your board design prior to arriving, but you get to distress you boards and stain them.

Nothing was funnier than 35 elementary teachers wearing ear-plugs beating up wooden boards with hammers…can we say ‘stress-reliever’? Choosing the stain and paint was so fun and its BYOB, so your group can bring wine and snacks to share.
