Need a holiday gift idea for next year? These DIY wooden ornaments (a take on the original idea from InMyOwnStyle.com ‘s cute blog post here) are easy & fun to make and the perfect gift for co-workers, family or friends. The reason I share this with you today, after Christmas, is #1 because I had to wait to post until I gifted these to my sweet friends/co-workers and #2 because a craft store near you might just have these wooden ornaments on sale (stock up now for next year!)
I made these in October and had them all set and ready to go — when the holiday weekends fill up having gifts ready for your co-workers is such a time saver. Plus, it was fun to sit outside on a fall afternoon to make these with my mom. She made me one last year with our monogram (pictured last) and I was just so excited to hang it up this year!
Supplies Needed: wooden ornaments/shapes (found at a craft store near you), gold paint pen (or sharpie), garland pieces and ribbon (I ended up decorating the tops of mine with little garland pieces and some red & black plaid ribbon this year), stencils (or free-hand letters if you’re great at handlettering — something I am still practicing how to do!)
These were so fun to make and even more fun to give! Happy crafting in 2018!
These are gorgeous ornaments!
