DIY Hangers: Baby Edition

Hey friends! You might remember a few weeks ago I shared some DIY handlettered hangers I made for my 5th grade team at work. Well, today I want to share with you another DIY hanger project I worked on this summer. #babyedition

Again, I purchased wooden hangers from ikea, but these were the little ones. They are so small & so cute! I used gray paint, unfortunately I was out of gray chalk paint, so I used a gray paint with a satin finish instead.

Paint tip: When you are painting on a wood with a finish, like these hangers, chalk paint would have been a better solution, because satin finish took much longer to dry. Luckily, the Texas heat helped me out — I just hung the hangers on the edge of our patio table –they dried in no time!

When the hangers were finished drying I used sandpaper to shabby the edges and added sweet little blue and white bows to the top for the sweet little baby boy’s receiving these. I think adding the ribbon might be my favorite part! These hangers paired with a cute navy and blue onesie…darling! I was so excited for these to arrive in the hands of my mama-friends and their little boys!
