“…and all at once summer collapsed into fall.” -Oscar Wilde
Happy Sunday! Today is it raining, actually storming, in Texas. I’m choosing to believe this is the first sign of the season truly beginning to change, and hopefully some cooler, fall temps are on the way.
Over the last week, in between grading papers and lesson planning, I’ve been starting to put some fall touches up around our house.
One of my favorite trends in fall decor is white pumpkins. They are just so pretty and I love the way they look even more when mixed with silver pieces. These are a few pictures of our fall mantel. It’s pretty simple at the moment, but I usually add a few little extras around Halloween and again at Thanksgiving.
Here is a peek inside my china cabinet. I took the photos with the doors open for better viewing. On the right, I have stacked two cupcake stands and placed a tiny, wool pumpkin on top. (Don’t forget to scroll over all the photos for more decor tips and comments.)
I love thinking outside the box when it comes to home decor. The white pumpkin (below) is really a bowl for soup or chili. I have a set of 6. Each fall Greg & I usually try to have his family over for a chili night and use them. These are just too cute to keep in a closed cabinet in the kitchen. I borrowed one for this shelf.
Just a peek, and there’s more to come! Bring on fall, right?! Have the best, lazy Sunday!
I love how you can click on the pics for more fall decor tips!
